COLLECTION AVANT-PREMIÈRE SHOW AT YACHT CLUB DE MONACO GALA

The Belgians of Monaco celebrate their legends.
It was just 50 years ago. Jacky Ickx won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Eddy Merckx won the Tour de France for the first time. And what better than to celebrate this double anniversary with his compatriots?
The evening took place at the Yacht Club and gathered some 250 guests.
Several personalities, including Prince Albert II, Valentino Rossi (moto GP driver), Jean Todt (FIA president),  Stanislas Wawrinka (tennis player) and rising Formula One star Charles Leclerc sent video messages to greet the two champions.
Yann Antony Noghès, grandson of Antony Noghès, the founder of the Monaco Grand Prix, took the floor to recall the immensity of the careers of these two living legends. « Jacky Ickx, F1, endurance and rally driver, has won the 24 Hours of Le Mans six times. He also won the Paris-Dakar in 1983 and was twice vice-world champion of F1. Eddy Merckx remains him, « the greatest rider in the history of cycling.
Born in Belgium and maintaining a deep attachment to my roots, it was an immense honor to be able to present the new Diana d’Orville capsule during a colorful parade during this sublime and memorable gala evening.
